Y'Chessa Dahli ME Dance Ensemble (pronounced yuh'chessa dolly) was formed in 2001 with a group of dancers who had a common interest and goal to perform creative, colorful, fun, technically correct routines for your viewing pleasure. Y'Chessa Dahli loosely translated is "hips a smokin". This Seattle based troupe is comprised of women who have studied under Nabeela El Shalimar. Each dancer has their own style. They work hard to blend these styles to create interesting choreographies to delight their audience.

The Southern Lakes Festival of Colour is a celebration of the arts set against the spectacular backdrop of New Zealand’s Lake Wanaka in autumn. With inspiring performances of theatre, dance, music and cuisine from local, national and international acts, the Festival also showcases the work of some of New Zealand’s pre-eminent writers and artists. Throughout the Festival the theme of colour and environment prevails in the visual arts and literary programmes, making the most of the surrounding vibrant colours and dramatic landscape. The inaugural Festival of Colour in April 2005 met with a huge response with nearly all performances sold out and very enthusiastic feedback from audiences who came from all over New Zealand and the world.

WACONGO Dance Company
WACONGO Dance Company is a traditional ensemble of master drummers, musicians and dancers from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The company performs ancestral songs and dances of Central Africa, with the mission of inspiring and educating public audiences about African heritage and culture. The artists have toured extensively in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. WACONGO explores music from the 400 ethnic groups of Central Africa. Repertoire includes original and traditional dance and song, including Dowry¸ a piece focusing on the individuals in an African village and their very real, very modern issues that resonate well beyond the village, and Safari, an educational program that communicates the history of African arts. Residency activities include the Safari program, interactive drumming, and a music and wellness workshop.
